We cordially invite you to join the UIC College of Medicine at the 2023 Winter Gala. Held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, this formal event will include an open bar, light food, and a silent auction benefiting our very own student-run free medical clinics, SRFC and NLVS.

TICKETS

Light refreshments will be available until 10 PM. Grilled and crispy flatbread will be served alongside lemon dill and smoked red pepper hummus. We encourage you to eat dinner before arriving.​

The drink menu, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is listed below. Alcoholic beverages are only available with a drinking ticket. Non-drinking tickets are discounted from the drinking ticket price. 


Tickets cannot be refunded/resold.

This is a formal/cocktail event. 

Coat check is included in ticket price.

COVID-19

On an honor system, all attendees are expected to:

2) test negative for COVID-19 in the days prior to the event.

ENTRY

Enter the museum through the “Marisol” entrance on the northwest corner of the building. Doors will open promptly at 7:30 PMAt this time, guests are able to check-in, collect their appropriate wristband, and coat check. If you have purchased a drinking ticket, remember to bring a form of ID, as this will be verified upon check-in.

 

We highly suggest that you plan to arrive earlier to ensure that you can be situated well before the bar opens. Food is served at 8:00 PM
 

Doors will close at 8:50 PM, in accordance with museum policy. If you arrive after this time, in order to enter, we kindly ask you to text/call these phone numbers (to be provided the week leading up to the event). One of our class board members will allow you to enter and check you and your guests in.

CTA

MCA is located four blocks east of the Chicago Avenue stop on the CTA Red Line. You can also take the #3 King Drive, #10 Museum of Science and Industry, and #66 Chicago Avenue buses, as well as several Michigan Avenue bus routes.

Parking

The MCA has a convenient public parking garage located at Chicago Avenue and Fairbanks Court. All guests are offered their $16 flat-rate parking discount during the event.
Guests can validate their parking at coat check.

Student Run Free Clinic (SRFC)

The UIC Student Run Free Clinic (SRFC) is an organization of UIC Medical Students, Residents, and Faculty dedicated to providing quality health care to uninsured patients in Chicago. Through SRFC's partnership with the largest free medical clinic in Illinois, Community Health, SRFC provides primary care and gynecological health care services to patients at Community Health’s West Town location. Through SRFC, UIC students can apply their classroom knowledge in the clinical setting under the mentorship of UIC physicians.

New Life Volunteering Society (NLVS)

The New Life Volunteering Society free health clinic serves as a comprehensive medical care facility dedicated to serving the uninsured of Chicago in primary and secondary prevention of chronic medical conditions and also training future health care professionals by providing an educational setting to learn and practice clinical skills.
